Let’s do Lunch

One for the parents/carers!

An out in the community lunch were parents and carers can meet up with other parent/carers that understand.

The venue may move around. It does us good to also get out in the community and to experience each other’s stories, views and to laugh!

We will enjoy a light Lunch and chat over good food and drinks.

To find out when these events are and come and enjoy ‘YOU’ time, please join our Facebook Group where we will post up the times and dates each month.

Bowling

Teen Bowling Club

This event will run once a month on a Tuesday and is specifically aimed at teens to provide a safe social environment they can access independently.

Originally established in 2014, we are a parent led voluntary community group that supports autistic children and families and those with other social and communication difficulties.

Why

We formed in response to an overwhelming need for families to receive ‘whole family support’  beyond that currently offered by Local Authorities and the NHS.  We know it takes a village to raise a child and therefore we support the child and the wider family including siblings.

How

Here at REACH North West we truly believe in our children and families. We strive to give quality training  and support to enable children to flourish, we use every opportunity as a teaching opportunity, and we love to see families progress as a unit.

We help children to REACH their true potential by providing individualised bespoke packages that support children to overcome communication difficulties and barriers to learning using a multi-disciplinaryapproach.

In addition we also provide social activities, practical advice, information, training and build partnerships with families, school and other professionals.

We must never put a limit on what our children can achieve, we must always teach in a way in which each individual child learns , you will never find a one size fits all at Reach North West. To find out more about our services click here

We look forward to meeting you and your child and welcoming you to REACH North West.

REACH Supervisors

supervisor4

REACH supervisors have extensive training and are experienced in working with autistic children and with children with other social and communication difficulties. They create and implement our bespoke packages for children and families to suit their individual needs. They also provide ongoing support and practical training for our families.

REACH Tutors

Tutors A

REACH tutors are overseen and guided by our REACH Supervisors, our tutors are trained to support your child and the whole family within your home when you opt for our 'In House Crisis Outreach Service'.  They will support your child on a one to one basis and will work on the bespoke program designed specifically for your child, they are fun, child led and will support the family as a whole.

SaLT – Speech and Language Therapist

SaLT

Speech and language therapists support our REACH children with communication difficulties. Our speech and language therapist will liaise with our Supervors and will recommend and use a wide range of interventions to develop communication skills, including language programmes, speech sound programmes, supporting the use of alternative or augmentative communication systems. This consequently means more successful communication and can reduce frustration.

OT – Occupational Therapist

OT

Occupational Therapists work with our REACH children on functional skills, sensory needs, cross body exercises and self-help skills. They may work alongside our Supervisors on any courses we provide that may we require an OT.

Services

REACH North West provide a range of services, for families of autistic children or other learning difficulties. Our services include training sessions, support services and our 'In-home outreach' services.

Courses

Our courses are designed for both parents and children using a bespoke multi disciplinary approach. These courses have a huge impact on a child's ability to overcome many barriers and communicate effectively.
