CarliHi, my name is Carli.

At present, I am an ABA tutor working with an amazing little boy in mainstream school. I am there to meet the needs of my student as a school shadow, implementing strategies to enhance independence ready for his transition into secondary school.

I previously worked in retail across the UK as a retail merchandiser. However, after having my own beautiful little boy I returned to education. I am studying for my Psychology Degree to pursue my visions of working in a more fulfilling field, which links into my role as an ABA tutor, I have completed the RBT course and certification in Safeguarding.

Through university I came across the opportunity to volunteer with ‘Reach North West’ (formally ASUK) and the rewarding world of behaviour analytical support. Here I completed three cohorts as assistant room leader, supporting & overseeing children’s individualised targets and helping parents set up learning opportunities in developing their children’s skills.

Currently I volunteer at ‘Reach’ after school club helping children to develop social competence through means of building friendships and facilitate with data taking. I also volunteer outside of ‘Reach’ with children in a junior youth club assisting with implementing fun and interactive activities.

My role requires building a guiding and supportive rapport with young people across a diverse range of ages, needs and abilities, inspiring and motivating them to participate and engage in their learning and development. So it is exciting to becoming actively involved with helping parents/families alike. As an enthusiastic individual I love to be involved and hands on, so you will probably see me at ’Reach North West’s’ different events and activities. I look forward to meeting you at ‘Reach’, continuing to make a difference to those who deserve and aid reaching their full potential.
