We are looking for individuals who have a comprehensive understanding of the barriers that autistic children and young people face. To compliment this you need to have an enthusiasm and passion to want to help, support and improve the quality of life of autistic children, young people and their families, also an understanding of learning difficulties and a belief that everyone is entitled to an education and to learn functional skills and promote independance, whether or not it is accessible/affordable to them. We require individuals to Volunteer and to help with the the activities and events that REACH North West will be running and the development of REACH North West and to commit time to REACH North West to do so.
Each volunteer will need to bring their own unique set of skills and enthusiasm. These may include but are not limited to:
The ability to work well as part of a positive team will be imperative. As a volunteer you do not hold power to vote or make decisions at a strategic level, that will fall to the core management group. Previous experience of participating as a volunteer is advantageous but not necessary.
